Some jobs can only be done with a truck that was made for towing. Whether you need a truck for work or play, here are some pickups that can do the heavy lifting. 

2022 Ford F-450 

Ford is a brand known for trucks, with the F series often being the first that comes to mind. The Ford F-450 can tow up to 32,500 lbs. with the 5th wheel hitch package. If you don’t need all of that towing capacity, consider an F-150 (8,500 lbs.) or F-250 (15,000 lbs.) which also provide strong towing capabilities. 

2022 Ford F-150 Lighting 

Need to tow but also want to take care of the environment and save on gas? The F-150 Lighting all electric is the truck for you. Max payload is 2,000 lbs. and max towing is 10,000 lbs., all with an EPA-estimated range of 320 miles. 2022 Ford Maverick 

Winner of the North American Truck of the Year™, the Ford Maverick is the perfect truck for those who want an everyday driver that can also tow their toys. Payload capacity is up to 1,500 lbs. and with the towing package you can move up to 4,000 lbs., perfect for jet skis, a small camper, small boat or dirt bikes.    

2023 Honda Ridgeline 

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline has a lay-flat drunk bed, Lockable In-Bed Trunk®, Honda’s iCTM4® AWD System, Dual-Action Tailgate which opens both down and out (like a car door) and a scratch-resistant truck bed. Capable of towing up to 5,000 lbs., this is a truck that will deliver reliable performance. 

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz 

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is essentially and SUV with truck capabilities. It provides a comfortable ride with in-cabin features such as plenty of back seat leg room and a full in-dash technology suite. Outside it has a truck bed capable of carrying a payload up to 1,753 lbs. and up to 5,000 lbs. of towing capacity.  

2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 

The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon can conquer both terrain and towing. This is an ideal vehicle for those who like to tow a camper and then detach their vehicle to adventure off road. The Gladiator Rubicon is Trail Rated, can carry up to 1,700 lbs. of payload and can tow up to 7,650 lbs.   

2022 Nissan Titan 

The Nissan Titan boasts the best-in-class standard horsepower with a 400-hp Endurance® V8 engine. You’ll get 413 lb.-ft. of torque and 11,060 lbs. of towing capacity. The Titan also comes equipped with technology features like Lineup Driver Assist and more safety tech. If you don’t need as much towing capacity, check out the Nissan Frontier.    

2022 Toyota Tundra 

This model year of the Toyota Tundra underwent a complete redesign. Toyota’s i-FORCE Twin-Turbo V6 engine delivers 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque, or the i-FORCE MAX will give 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. The Tundra offers 12,000 lbs. of max towing and can carry a payload of up to 1,940 lbs. Be sure to also check out the Tacoma which has up to 6,800 lbs. of towing capacity.  

2022 Ram 3500

Offering the biggest towing capacity on the list is the Ram 3500 which can pull 37,090 lbs. when equipped with the 6.7L High-Output Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine. The Ram also offers a host of technology features including a digital rearview mirror when in tow mode, so you can see what’s behind your trailer. If this is more towing power than you need, check out the Ram 1500 which can still tow an impressive 12,750 lbs. with the 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine.
