Kia is evolving with the release of the new 2021 Kia K5 and N3 platform. This N3 platform is what has taken the tried and true Optima and turned it into the stunning and fierce K5. The powerful K5 is already surpassing its sport sedan designation. It has multiple engine options to choose from, a new lower, wider, and longer platform and an all-wheel drivetrain. The 2021 Kia K5 is built on the third generation of the sturdy N3 platform. This platform will become standard for future Kia models. So if you’re looking for a new and aggressive profile, the K5 has that. Two engine options are available for the 2021 Kia K5. The first one is a 2.5-liter turbocharged GDI, and the second is a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI. The first of these two beastly engines pushes 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, pairing with the new 8-speed automatic transmission, with a standard also available.
