The new Hyundai SUV receives many upgrades, but the interior is what is drawing attention. The 10.25-inch full-touch screen has no hard buttons for easier control. The hybrid powertrain is a 1.6-liter turbo gas engine with an electric motor to pump out 226 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It features a 44.2 kW motor and 1.4 kWh battery pack, plus a six-speed automatic transmission. Plug-in hybrid Tucson models have a 1.6-liter turbo engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. However, the battery is much larger than the standard hybrid, with 13.8 kWh of power, producing an all-electric driving range of 28 miles.Â
