The 2018 Ram 2500 can be powered by the 6.7-liter Cummins® turbo diesel I-6 for manual transmission. For automatic transmissions, the 6.7-liter Cummins® turbo diesel I-6, 6.4-liter Hemi V8, or the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is available. The 2018 Ram 2500 can come into 3 forms – Regular Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab. Standard with the gas engine is a 160-amp alternator. While on 6.7-liter diesel are two 220-amps for a dual rated alternator resulting to a combined output rating of 440-amps.
